Looking for a birthday party idea?
At Westacres Equestrian, our fantastic pony parties are a great choice for the horse mad youngster, or just for something different.
What happens at a pony party?
The agenda can be flexed to meet your needs, but normally our parties last 2 hours. This consists of either 1/2 hour pony ride, 1/2 hour grooming and pony care or 1 hour grooming and pony care plus an hours' use of our indoor 'tea room' or outdoor space (weather dependent) for food, fun and games. Please note we do not supply food / cake / specific decoration, and this will have to be provided by you. However we can assist with set up and decoration.
Do the kids need to have experience with horses?
No. Our pony parties are suitable for absolute beginners, but we can also allow more experienced riders a little more freedom to be able to enjoy their ride. This is absolutely at the instructor's discretion.
Do parents need to stay?
All parents will need to complete a rider registration form in advance of their child riding. We will provide organisers with a link to the form. No attendee may mount without a rider registration form. There is no necessity for every parent to stay, however we would request that at least one adult to every three children is present at all times. If parents wish to stay and partake in the activities, they are able to assist with leading their children's ponies and grooming if they wish.
How many children can come to the party?
We normally limit pony parties to a maximum of 12 attendees. We have a minimum of 6 attendees. However, if your needs differ from this please contact us and we would be happy to discuss.
How much does it cost?
Our pony parties are priced at £30 (riding) and £25 (non-riding) per attendee for the standard 2 hour package for up to 12 children. If you require anything different, please contact us to discuss your needs. A £50 deposit will need to be paid to secure your booking.
