Welcome to Westacres Riding School
We are a licenced BHS approved riding school offering private, semi-private and group riding lessons to riders of almost all ages and abilities. Our fantastic team of horses and ponies provide something for everyone at Westacres, or - if you prefer - bring your own pony/horse to meet us.
At a glance:
Age limit: we provide riding lessons from 4 years old; tiny tots riding sessions from 2 years old; tiny tots grooming and pony experience at any age; no upper age limit.
Weight limit: in order to ensure the welfare of our horses and ponies, we are unable to provide riding services to riders over 13st. If you do however wish to have experience with horses and ponies, do call us and we can discuss how we might assist.

Every Saturday from 11am-1pm we offer pony club for riders and non-riders from 6 years old. Simply arrive dressed for the weather with a packed lunch for two hours of horse care and stable management activities.

Some of our more experienced riders support the stables by volunteering during evenings and weekends. In return, they can accumulate credits which can be applied for rides and merchandise. This opportunity is only available to customers who are able to operate independently on the yard and is at the full discretion of staff.
