Private Lessons
All new riders at Westacres are required to book a 30 minute private assessment lesson. You can then discuss with your instructor the best fit for your riding ability and goals. We recommend all beginner riders have at least 6 private lessons to ensure their confidence and independence before considering riding in a group setting. We also welcome riders who wish to continue with private lessons.

NOTE: Horse riding is a physical activity, which requires strength and fitness which are very different to many other activities. We would only recommend 45/60 minute private sessions for experienced riders.
Group Lessons
Once riders are able to ride independently in walk and trot, they are able to join groups of riders. Groups will consist of no more than 6 riders of a similar ability

We are able to offer semi-private lessons to groups of 2/3 riders. Ideal for couples, parent/child or small groups of friends who want to ride together.

For riders who have completed an assessment lesson with us, we are able to offer guided hacks around our fantastic countryside.

An opportunity for customers aged 6 and above to join us for pony care and non-ridden activities for 2 hours on a Saturday morning.
